There, Anna Jarvis fulfilled her mother's wish: a day to commemorate the good work of mothers. Meanwhile, Mother's Day has become more of a holiday than a day of remembrance. We celebrate Mother's Day in the Netherlands and Belgium on the second Sunday in May to celebrate the influence mothers have on society. In other words, the perfect day to put our mothers in the spotlight!
